Shanda went above and beyond for a patient's family during Master's Week. A patient's family came to pick up the patient but the discharge was delayed 2 more days. Shanda found out that his family could not find a hotel to stay in. Shanda called the nursing supervisor to find out if the family could stay in one of the ICU waiting rooms. She got permission for the family to sleep in the ICU waiting room and escorted them over.
