Shandra exemplifies what it means to be a charge nurse. She is always energetic, enthusiastic, and supportive of her staff. She begins each shift by sharing a positive quote with the staff, so that all can begin the day on a high note. She is a team player, not afraid to jump in and help her fellow nurses during busy times on the unit. She will help hold a patient for a procedure or take a patient to CT if the need arises. She handles family issues with grace and compassion, never forgetting to advocate for the patient. She is exactly what a charge nurse should be, a true leader.
