I cannot describe one specific situation or story, Shane’s patient care exceeds above all excellence, and his rapport with patients is extraordinary.

We have several patients that are in crisis episodes and sometimes situations become volatile. Shane is always up front and center, as a calming presence, using interventions to defuse the patient before restraints or medications need to be used.

Patients are very appreciative of this skillful empathetic approach. Many of our patients cannot speak up or nominate a nurse, but if they were in the position to be able to recognize Shane, they truly would!
