Shaniqua Ottey's life revolves around providing safe and quality care to all residents at Life Care. She comes in day or night, to ensure that residents are cared for. If staffing is challenged, she will come in and help out at the drop of a hat. She will leave her own family to come in and care for other people, whenever we are in need. She comes in and works any hours that we need, whether it be 4-16 hours. If someone doesn't come in or there is a call out for the next shift, she is the first one to jump in and help out with coverage. Shaniqua will care for residents in the LPN or CNA role. She never feels that anything is below her and will work in any capacity that is needed. Shaniqua's attitude says it all: "I got you". She will never allow a resident to go without and ensures that every resident has everything that they need. She has even bought residents personal care items, so they wouldn't be without. She has given away her LPN shifts so she could come in and provide ADLs so residents would be provided the quality care that they deserve. She is a significant integral team member who contributes to the success of the nursing team, which in turn leads to the success of SLC Hampton in delivering quality healthcare.
