I didn't even shed a tear, because she embraced me with her words of encouragement and gave me a positive outlook about this disease.
I came for work not knowing I was sick, upon checking my temperature in ER, it shows 38.5 so I was held in ER Isolation Room. I informed them that I couldn't go back home since I am not alone in my room. Informed the Nursing Supervisor which happened to be Sister Valli. My first thank you is that she reserved a room for me and made my admission fast and possible. But this is not the only reason why I want to thank her. She also visited me in the ER Isolation Room, ensured that I was feeling fine and not worried. She left me words to make me feel that the swab result will be negative. When I got admitted into the room, her role for me did not finish. Though her duty was already over, she kept me updated about the health teachings when she was home. When the swab result came out, she was the first person to inform me, instructed me about the things I must do. I was so touched because she was not with me personally, but why do I feel that she's physically present? Then I realized it was because of her genuine care, she cared for me not only as a patient, but I felt the care of a family member. When I heard that I was positive for the Novel coronavirus, I didn't even shed a tear, because she embraced me with her words of encouragement and gave me a positive outlook about this disease. She wiped away my fears, instead, she boosted me with knowledge on how to conquer this virus. All throughout my course here in the hospital, she always asked me how I feel and never failed to lighten my mood.

Today, I will be discharged, and I would like to give my gratitude to Sister Valli. Now that I have experienced what it is like to be a patient, I have realized that being present emotionally is better than being there personally. I do believe that the words, the advice, and most especially the encouragement she gave me, helped me to recover quickly. She even visited me several times to ensure that I was doing the proper deep breathing exercise and that I am not lying in bed all the time. I would like to say that this is the kind of person we need as patients. Her knowledge, patience, and most importantly her way to make the patients feel her presence is not just extraordinary, she is an ANGEL sent by GOD. Thanks to you Sister Valli, for your excellent job.
