I first worked with this extraordinary nurse in Home Health and Hospice. I believe you are born with compassion and it isn't something you can teach. I watched her take care of many hospice patients. She was always helpful and never in a hurry. She helped to coordinate a young, hospice patient to be admitted to the Hospice House. The patient was having a difficult time there so we went to visit her, on our own time, and took care of a few things for her. The patient trusted Shanna completely.
I really loved working with her and watching the excellent care she gave each patient. She always gave 100% all the time because she really cared for each person. Now, working in Med Surg and OB, I'm sure she does the same. I watched her laugh with the families, cry with the families, and no one ever had to wonder if she cared. She always had a smile and was always a team player.
If I ever needed care, she would be the nurse I would love to have. God bless her and all the nurses like her. I am sure there are many families that share the feeling that Shanna Braymen is a true DAISY Nurse.
