During a time of vulnerability, uncertainty, and emotional transition, Shannon’s calm, attentive, and deeply compassionate care made a lasting impact, not only medically, but emotionally and mentally as well. The patient, a physician herself, shared that Shannon’s care elevated her already deep respect for nursing.
As a psychiatrist, she understands how challenging and even traumatic hospital stays can be, yet Shannon transformed the experience into one that felt grounding, comforting, and healing. Her warmth, reassurance, and professional presence brought peace to the early, tender days of becoming a parent.
