Shannon was nominated through the national DAISY website by her daughter who is very proud of her mom! For more than two years, Shannon has been caring for the same patient since he came home from the hospital at six months old. At the beginning of the pandemic, he tested positive for COVID-19. Shannon is committed to her patient. She was his only nurse during his two-week quarantine and worked nonstop for days straight until he could safely come out of quarantine.
This is the stuff DAISY Honorees are made of and we are so fortunate to have Shannon caring for this little boy to keep him safe at home. We are so very honored to have her on our team!
