I kept saying during the procedure that I couldn’t do it, and Shannon was right there saying to me, “I’m here and you’re okay, I won’t let anything bad happen to you.”
Shannon has shown me an incredible amount of compassion and respect. I have an extensive trauma history and today when I had my procedure done, I was so scared. I called the office and Shannon told me that when I get there she will be waiting for me. When I got there I was shaking, and she told me she was there, and I wasn’t alone, and we will get through it together. I kept saying during the procedure that I couldn’t do it, and she was right there saying to me, “I’m here and you’re okay, I won’t let anything bad happen to you.” She’s the only reason why I keep going back even though I‘m afraid because she told me that whenever I’m there, she will make sure that she’s available for me and she’ll be by my side the entire time. She’s the first person I’ve truly trusted that’s a medical professional; she is a blessing in my life and gave me confidence and faith that I can do this, and she won’t let anything happen to me in her care. She’s been so loving and caring about me and my safety since I’ve moved here to Maine a short time ago and I would love it if every female could have a nurse like this in their lives to make the difference that she has made in mine.
