Shannon D Greer, RN

Shannon cared for my brother B most of the time he was there under hospice. Shannon embodies excellence in every aspect of nursing: excellent communication, bedside manner, competence, and advocacy. I could go on, but best of all, she had a big smile for B. He loved Shannon as all of us did, and she made him smile, too. There were many challenges during his stay, and she met each one head-on and kept up with all the departments coordinating his care. On one of the better days early in his stay, he wanted to go outside to enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and she made it happen! Because of his mobility, she needed to find a lift to get him in a wheelchair. This took considerable time from her already busy schedule, and it pleased her immensely that she could give him simple pleasure. Please consider her for this DAISY Award that she so much deserves. Shannon is an exceptional nurse and human being.
