Shannon Easterday, Student

Shannon excelled through the clinical experiences that we shared together. She exhibits extraordinary compassion and provides above-and-beyond care daily. Shannon puts forth effort every day to become a knowledgeable nurse and has a natural skill in providing comfort and therapeutic communication.

Recently, Shannon spotted a patient assigned to another nurse that was in need of assistance and identified that the patient was having a seizure. Shannon escalated care and took the steps necessary to ensure that the patient was safe. I am nominating Shannon because she exceeds the expectations of nursing students and I am confident that she will be an amazing nurse and continue to uphold the values of our profession.
