Shannon made a very difficult situation so much better for my husband. I am diagnosed with CLL, late-stage liver disease, and kidney failure. My husband was admitted for a stroke. She assured me that he was doing well each time that I called as I was unable to visit due to my own disability. Shannon cared for my husband as if he were her very own father. She was attentive to all his needs, as well as all my needs and fears about his condition. Initially, I did not want to bring him to Manatee Memorial Hospital. The staff in the ER, but especially Shannon changed my opinion of the hospital. She cared for my husband and me and gave us much-needed support. Shannon realized that my husband was more than a patient, but an important family member to me. I will sing her praises to whoever will listen. May God bless her and you.
