We've had the great privilege of knowing Shannon for the past several years. My husband is a patient at UW Pulmonary Clinic. He has had a collapsed trachea and requires a stent to breathe. He has many other health issues most related to a helicopter crash in Vietnam in 1969. Shannon, in her nursing role, has been there time and time again to coordinate his care. This time she went above and beyond. As we live 4 hours north, coming to UW every 4-8 weeks, she knew it was important to coordinate his GI care with the pulmonary procedure. She was able to get X-rays and a GI provider to see him the day before his bronchoscopy. The GI provider even came in on his day off! We so appreciate this wonderful, caring nurse who gives above and beyond, representing her profession at UW Clinic, Madison, WI, thank you, Shannon!
