Shannon Johnston, BSN, RN

Shannon was instrumental in arranging an appointment soon after discharge to make sure my dad could continue to receive the medication that worked best for him. My mom always appreciated it when Shannon called to check on my dad and our family. And it was such a comfort for her to have Shannon in that role since my mom remembered her from when she cared for my grandfather. Throughout the year, Shannon was always available and supportive any time we had a question, need, or concern, no matter how small. Her support made a very difficult year more bearable. Having a behind-the-scenes role, I feel like Shannon may not get the recognition she deserves. I just want her to know what a difference she made in my life this year. She often was a lifeline when I felt like I was drowning. She is and always has been an incredible asset to the Lake Norman Palliative Team.
