Shannon's care was so outstanding; I was taken aback by her. Watching her comfort nervous patients before surgery, during anesthesia induction, and the way she cares for anesthetized patients is remarkable. Each time she precepted me I knew she was a nurse I wanted to strive to be like. Once during a procedure where our patient was awake Shannon pulled up a chair next to the patient and talked to her the entire time, which obviously helped lessen the patient's anxiety throughout the procedure. This is just one of many examples. Not only is she a great nurse to her patients, she is great teacher to new nurses, and employees in the OR. After over a year as one of her team mates I can say she is a great asset to Crouse, she will always go above and beyond, and you can truly see her passion as a nurse every day!
