Angels do exist!! Shannon Long, ICU nurse for my mother, is definitely a special angel! My mother came into the unit in critical condition, received constant, wonderful, skilled nursing care from Shannon, and Shannon lifted my mom’s spirits and instilled a will to get well. And she did get well!! I can’t thank Shannon enough. She was amazing, a perfect “10” on every level. So sweet, kind, adorable, cute, lovable and the best top level of nursing skills possible! She even helped patiently with some weird family dynamics, and she was very, very professional. Shannon made UF Hospital of The Villages look good! The level of care would absolutely be described as extraordinary. I want to clone Shannon and take her home to South Florida with me, send her home with my mother, and put a Shannon clone in each and every hospital in America so every ICU patient could have the possibility of recovery and the blessing of this level of care. I feel like Shannon saved my mother’s life and even put our family back together. What a great and true answer to the prayer of this lucky daughter and her lucky mother. My mom is patient in the ICU because of the level of critical care she received from Shannon Long. I will always be grateful for this heaven-sent nurse. I wish her to be recognized and blessed in return for her skills, beautiful heart, and superior level of care she gives.
