Shannon Mayfield, RN

I want to recognize Shannon for the care she provides our patients. Shannon was caring for a young mother who had recently transitioned to the care of Donor Alliance. On this day, the patient's three young children came to the hospital to say goodbye to their mother. Shannon exemplified relationship-based care and fulfilled our mission of extending support and healing by making a card filled with scriptures to encourage and comfort the children during this difficult time. Shannon also went downstairs and was able to get stuffed animals for the children to provide them additional comfort for the next day's visit. Shannon not only poured her heart and soul out to the children of this patient, but she was a witness to the love of Jesus.
