My son was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor in January of 2013. Every week we would go to the outpatient clinic for his treatment. Over the past several months, I have encountered many nurses who have taken excellent care of my son. I feel that Shannon has been the best at providing family centered patient care. She knows all of her patients and cares for each and every one of them. She takes extra time out and listens to many concerns that I have approached her about with my son's treatment plan. She collaborates with the physicians and advocates my concerns about him. Shannon cares about his well-being as well as all the patients under her care. I often sit in the waiting room and have seen her approach many families and meet them with her pleasant, enthusiastic manner. She is a fantastic nurse and should be commended for everything she has done! Thank you Shannon for taking the time out for all your patients!
