Shannon was truly exceptional. Let me tell you my story. I was having chest pain (which is very rare for me.) It was 10:40 pm and my husband took me to the emergency room with me kicking and fighting because I didn’t want to go!!! I arrived there and everyone was great!! I was laying in the bed in the ER very nervous, tight chest pain, and just plain scared! The door opened and in came Shannon. She was an angel sent from God! She explained things to me, she was patient, answered many questions, joyful and comforting. Keep in mind this was midnight and she had gotten to her job at 07:30 pm and still had seven and a half hours to go. All through the night, she checked on me, but “stayed a while” to make sure I was physically, mentally, and emotionally okay. It was coming closer to her 12 hours shift being done and when she checked on me it was as if she had just come on duty. She gave me an update, a big smile, and a reassuring touch on my arm that everything was going to be okay. Shannon loves her job and loves helping people. It made me realize I need to pray for the medical staff. They give and give. Thank you, Shannon and all the staff at the emergency room. You truly are heroes!
