To say this nursing leader is absolutely awesome is an understatement! She has compassion, drive, perseverance, grit, a can-do attitude, and fantastic relationship building skills. This leader is also a coach and mentor to so many colleagues in the emergency department. She is truly the glue that holds our team together. She has exceptional relationships with many of our key partners in success including EMS, Providers, and members of our multidisciplinary care team. She is consistently recognized by our EMS partners. It is not uncommon to find loads of sticky notes in the DAISY nomination box recognizing this nurse leader for all of our hard and dedication to our patients and our community. For these reasons and more, we feel that Shannon Roberts is beyond deserving of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
