My 1 week old daughter had heart surgery. She was moved from the NICU to the PICU after her surgery. Her overnight nurse, Shannon, took such good care of our sweet baby girl! She made sure my husband and I had everything we needed. It was absolutely terrifying, and we had not slept in days. She assured us that she would take care of our sweet girl, and she absolutely did! She stayed with her and ensured that everything was good. There were so many amazing nurses at Cardinal Glennon, but Shannon stood out as personable, caring and honestly, just put our minds at ease. Shannon also cared for her on TCU and again went above and beyond. We appreciate her selflessness and overall positive attitude more than she will ever know. She made one of the scariest experiences of our lives a little easier.
