Shanon is a great nurse who always provides patient-centered care. Shanon does not let language barriers get in the way of providing excellent care. One particular instance that stood out to me was with a patient who did not speak English. When Shanon brought the patient back to the Operating Room they both took a moment to pray. The patient prayed in her native language, and Shanon prayed in English. This moment meant a lot to the patient. Shanon demonstrated the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
