I want to recognize Shantell from 7E. Shantell arrived to 8E for the first time, unfortunately after changing assignments twice. She was assigned to 8E as the functional RN. Again, this assignment was altered due to nurse unavailability. Shantell may have been reluctant to tackle the challenges of this COVID Unit, but her actions never faltered. She received her assignment, took report, and demonstrated professionalism throughout her shift. As a charge nurse, this behavior was invigorating to witness. One last note as I conclude, seasoned nurses take note!
