My 12 year old daughter had to have a hernia removal surgery with Dr.V. Shannie was my daughters RN circulator that day. Shannie went above and beyond her job by having my daughter's favorite stuffed animal (a pig) dressed as if the piggy was going to the OR with her and helping with surgery! She brought smiles and joy to my scared daughters face! She allowed for Mrs. Piggy to accompany my daughter to the OR to be with my daughter.

When they were rolling my daughter back to the OR she became very scared with huge alligator tears in her eyes … Shannie started to play her favorite song and they danced their way to the OR! Without Shannie, and the rest of the crew my daughter had, her surgery and her experience at Phelps Health wouldn’t have been what it was and one that she’s isn’t afraid of having to need surgery in the future if it is needed!

So from the bottom of my heart, and to your thankless job, Shantelle, my daughter, myself and our little family want you to know how much we truly appreciate you, thank you, and will never forget this experience!! You are truly the BEST and we couldn’t have had a better circulator for the job! We love you!! Always be you!!
