Sharalee met us in the ER when we arrived. We had known her based on our son's previous surgeries when she was part of the ENT team working at the U of MN. She was familiar with my son and his cochlear implants. She knew that his previous surgeon should be contacted and she acted on that. Using this experience, her current skills, including rocking it on the IV, and her bedside manner, she helped a 15-year-old boy who was feeling anxiety and stress from his extreme vertigo-like symptoms. She was a comfort to our son and to our whole family. And she is an amazing nurse, knowing how to best help our son, how to educate us on what was going on, all while showing sincere compassion.
