May 2023 Honoree
Sharefah Abdullah Alasmari, BSN, RN
I was admitted to the Hemodialysis unit; then suddenly, the machine wasn't working. Even though Sharefah wasn't my nurse, she assisted her colleague in troubleshooting the machine. When Sharefah was unsuccessful, she got another hemodialysis machine. In addition, Sharefah always answers all questions with a smile. She shows how gentle, soft, and kind her personality is.
Sharefah is a huge advantage to the hemodialysis unit. The staff appreciates the help that she offers and admires how she is always willing to help other patients, even though she is not their primary nurse. She has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. Patients describe her as a compassionate, caring, and devoted nurse. This is why she was nominated for the DAISY Award.
