April 2026 Honoree
ShaRhonda Hilliard, RN
One moment that really stood out to me was when I was feeling overwhelmed and honestly a little scared about what was going on with my health. This nurse didn’t just come in, check my vitals, and leave; she took the time to sit with me and explain everything in a way that actually made sense.
She noticed I was anxious and reassured me that my concerns were valid, reminding me that I wasn’t alone in the process. What meant the most was how patient and attentive she was. She never made me feel like I was just another patient on her list.
She checked on me often, made sure I was comfortable, and even followed up on small things I mentioned earlier, which showed she was truly listening. That level of compassion and genuine care made a stressful situation much easier to handle, and it’s something I won’t forget.

Thank you, ShaRhonda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
