Sharnese has single-handedly managed almost all of the responsibilities of what is typically three full-time nurses in our clinic. She has done this in the last year for over 4 months up to the present. We still are short-staffed with no end in sight. She has given up vacation time, stayed late, and done this without complaint. She has consistently worked on triage with families to be sure that kids who needed urgent access to care got an appointment. She also, in one particular incident, figured out that a patient hadn’t been seen for a newborn visit and was able to get them in promptly; this patient ended up needing a higher level of care. This would have been detrimental to patient's health if not for Sharnese’s proactive thinking and action. I can’t say enough about her professionalism and tireless work ethic to support 12 attendings, 30 residents, and all the clinical needs of our entire 5000+ patient practice.
