I was an inpatient for 3 weeks following two back-to-back emergency surgeries. I had a challenging and complicated course post-op. When Sharon stopped in my room to say hello at the start of her shift, I immediately knew that I would have a good night; I was in good hands. Despite having way too many tubes and lines, she found time to walk the halls with me before bedtime. Sharon's genuine compassion and empathy are unparalleled. She served as a coach (advancing my diet) and cheerleader (yes asking about my use of the incentive spirometer). Nights can be very long and lonely when hospitalized for three weeks. Sharon's constant attentive presence was instrumental in my recovery. I feel extremely fortunate to have had her care for me!
