The thing I love most about her is how compassionate and easy going she is.
Sharon Cagurangan is honestly the best person and nurse I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The thing I love most about her is how compassionate and easy going she is. It's been almost 6 years since I was diagnosed so I'm always in and out of the hospital.
I have met many many nurses in more than one country, of course I have met many great nurses but honestly Sharon is truly the best. I used to hate going to the hospital but as time went on, I started to look forward to it more and more.
When I just feel so hopeless and frustrated about my situation, she always makes it better. I never feel like I'm just another patient with her, she always treats me like a friend, she is really an amazing human, and the hospital is lucky to have her.
For me personally, and I'm sure a few patients can relate, being held back by something out of our control is extremely hard and honestly terrifying. There's always a bit of dread when I come to the hospital and it might seem silly, but Sharon makes it better. I have no idea how, but when she's talking and laughing with me, suddenly I don't feel so hopeless anymore. She always knows how to make me feel better when I'm having a bad day. She is so amazing that I don't think it's even possible to forget her even after 15 years. I know I will always be thankful to her, even my friends know about her. She really is special and she will forever hold a special place in my heart.
