There isn’t just one situation or one patient that makes Sharon stand out. Sharon is respectful, shows compassion, and does not judge a patient for their background or situation. Sharon cares about each patient's welfare, and she advocates for each patient to have the best care. Sharon offers her help to her peers even if she is drowning in her own tasks. She truly is selfless. Her son B passed away in 2021, and Sharon’s compassion never lacked; she did not grow weak, but she grew stronger. She is one of the bravest people that I know. She is a light to this unit, and to see her face light up while talking about all of her children is genuinely a highlight of my day. Sharon is the daisy of our small ICU, and I think everyone should know! Thank you, Sharon, for always being you.
