I am a 42 year old who was diagnosed with breast cancer on a routine mammogram with absolutely no family history. I am a nurse in the military, but I don't have a lot of breast cancer knowledge. Sharon was there with me and for me 100% every step. She called me often to check in, showed up at appointments to take notes for me, and helped schedule and coordinate appointments to decrease my travel time. She also explained things to me again because a lot of things didn't click or I didn't understand. I am so thankful for the breast cancer navigators, particularly Sharon. She was even able to work directly with the military providers, Army and Air Force, with no problems. Very impressive!
