Sharon is a blessing, not only to my Aunt, but to me as a caregiver.
When I put my Aunt on hospice care, one of my cousins told me that having in-home hospice can be a wonderful experience or a horrible experience, as she told me, was made by your nurse. I had the extraordinary blessing of having my Aunt under the care of Sharon. I have a friend who works in a nursing home who knows many of Valley's nurses and when she heard that Sharon was my Aunt's nurse, she said, "Oh good! She's the best." Sharon is a blessing, not only to my Aunt, but to me as a caregiver. Sharon always has a friendly greeting for me. It never fails to cheer me up. My aunt, as long as responsive, always smiled when Sharon arrived. Sharon's skill is apparent, but it's accompanied by such warmth and caring that it never feels rushed. I'm so encouraged by Sharon caring about me. Being a caregiver can be difficult and discouraging. Sharon understands that I'm an essential component of my Aunt's health and care. I don't know if I could keep doing this if I didn't have Sharon telling me I'm doing a good job. She is a lifeline to me as well as to my Aunt.
