Sharon was just so impressive. She exhibited confidence, professionalism, compassion, and concern towards P.
My wife, P, was admitted to Laurens County Hospital (Prisma Health) for a severe infection from a recurring UTI. In addition, she has Parkinson’s disease. Since June of last year P has had 5 or 6 UTIs and this causes confusion, hallucinations, and inability to walk. Sharon was just so impressive. She exhibited confidence, professionalism, compassion, and concern towards P. When P would see that Sharon would be caring for her, I could see on her face that she knew she would receive excellent care. That would also make me feel so much better as well. Sharon seems to love what she does, and that puts P and I at ease. She gave me the impression that things must be done right and, at the same time, showed so much compassion towards P. She actually listened to our concerns and was very attentive to our needs. While sharing with Sharon our experience with these recurring UTIs, she asked if anyone had performed an ultrasound of her bladder. I replied, “No.” She performed an ultrasound and discovered P’s bladder had 317 ml in it after she had just urinated. This must be the cause of the infections. I can not put into words how much Sharon impressed me, and I feel she is a prime example of a capable, caring, compassionate nurse.
