October 2016 Honoree
sharon manduley, RN
When I was admitted I came in with shortness of breath, I was scared to death. I had a few other nurses before meeting such a sweet, caring and compassionate nurse named Sharon. She could tell how scared, nervous and stressed I was. Instead of just taking my history, vitals, and meds she provided a friendly and caring shoulder to lean on during such a stressful time for me. Sharon's empathy and caring attitude goes above and beyond her job responsibilities. When I would call her, she would get there as soon as possible always with a smile on her face. Sharon was very compassionate and reassuring that things would be ok considering we didn't know each other. I feel like I could go on forever about Sharon what an amazing person and nurse she is. I am so glad to know there are people like Sharon that put others needs first. My time that I have spent at Mary Washington Hospital has been such a positive experience because of Sharon. Thank you, Sharon, for being who you are. God bless you.
Thank you, Sharon, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
