Going through the birthing process is never easy, for neither the mother nor the partner, but Sharon held my wife’s hand throughout the entirety of her labour, comforting her and walking her through everything step by step. Not only that, but Sharon ensured that I was also looked after during the process, even though I know that this is something that is often overlooked. My wife lost a substantial amount of blood whilst everyone was attending to her, so Sharon made sure to ask me whether I am feeling okay. Her encouraging and comforting words made everything a little easier for not just myself, but for all of us. Finally, I would also like to thank all the staff on the Labour Suite, as well as the induction bay on the Lawrence ward. You are all a credit to the NHS.
