Sharon has such a calm sweet manner, she made all of us feel cared for and safe.
Sharon took such amazing care of my daughter while in labor. Sharon has such a calm sweet manner, she made all of us feel cared for and safe. Sharon provided so much education about the labor process, and what to expect, it made my very anxious daughter calm. She is a true gem!

Recently we had a resident from Boise who was on our floor and asking for more frequent exams after ruptured membranes. Sharon spoke up and asked about the exam necessity due to her membranes being ruptured. The resident provided her understanding and research on the topic. Sharon respectfully asked the resident if she could see the evidence that supported the exams. The resident completed a search and found a more current study indicating that increased exams increased the risk of infection for patients. The resident returned to Sharon to let her know what she had found and that she would be changing her future practice.
Through your diligence in putting Safety First for your patient, practice changes were made by that care team, and the patient’s experience was improved.
Sharon, on behalf of St. Luke’s Nampa and the whole St. Luke’s system, we want to thank you for being a wonderful example of our ICARE values. Thank you for recognizing your role as a teacher and a caretaker of your patients’ emotional and physical needs. It is through your daily efforts and extraordinary dedication that we can serve our community in the manner it deserves.
