My husband and I spent 6 weeks at Hospice House after spending five weeks in the hospital. There were many wonderful nurses, but Sharon was special. Being at the Hospice House is awful, but Sharon provided the best and most compassionate care for my husband. She also cared for me. I quite literally do not think I would have survived without Sharon's care. She has a special place in my heart. She didn't just attend to my husband's many physical needs - including complicated wound care that was not common in Hospice House. She tended to his and my emotional needs and philosophical doubts about his death. In all aspects of nursing, she is clearly the most competent and caring person I know. I love her for what she did for both of us. She deserves special recognition as she is a very special nurse and person.
