Sharon displays all the skills and knowledge you would expect in a seasoned nurse. But there is so much more. I am a widow and my late husband had a long-term illness and medical problems. Sharon was his nurse on multiple occasions. I always knew he was in good hands with her. He often would get anxiety if I was not at the hospital with him. Sharon always made him feel comfortable and at ease. She is one of those nurses who not only treat the illness, but she treats the person.
My husband was taken, one last time, by ambulance to Russell County Medical Center. On the way he coded, and things were not good. Sharon left out of the ICU to come to the ER and she was one of the first people to come out to me and she stayed with me until my brother came. She took care of me as a person at that moment when my life changed forever. My husband was sent to another facility and was braindead and passed away. I will never forget Sharon for her compassion and kindness. She is truly a caregiver.
