My husband came to Thomas Hospital for a knee revision. A week later, he had a perforated colon, was septic and jaundiced. After emergency surgery, he was given a 25% chance of recovery. His first night in SICU, his nurse was Shaun. He watched over my husband, kept in constant touch with the doctors to maintain his blood pressure and kept us informed of everything that was going on. My husband had many wonderful caregivers during his 34 days at Thomas Hospital, but I must thank Shaun for his constant vigilance that brought my husband through that first night in SICU.
Shaun is a wonderful young man who cares about his job but also shows compassion for the family of his patient. I will be forever grateful for the care of my husband. Thank you, Shaun.
