November 2012 Honoree
shaunice simmons, RN
Shaunice came in on her day off, which was Halloween, to bring a homeless patient, who she cared for the previous day, a winter coat. This display of compassionate care is not uncommon from Shaunice. She really gets to know her patients and their “story”. She spent a lot of quality time with this patient and found out he lived in a tent in our community, just up the Rock Road. He was really appreciative of Shaunice’s kindness.
Thank you, Shaunice, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
