We began our journey to Grandview after my husband, 42, suffered a heart attack and needed an emergency stent put into his heart. We had very good nurses while in Cardiac ICU, but there is something extra special about Shawana.
Shawana went above and beyond the tremendous care she gave my husband. Anyone can do "tasks", but she truly gives care to her patients. Her smile, her laugh, her demeanor, her personality, and her loving caring attitude shines bright each and every time she caringly contacts her patients. Shawana helped us understand things when emotions were running high and uncertainty was looming. Nursing is definitely a calling for Shawana. We are thankful and grateful.
