I am a newly hired RN and was teamed to work with Shawankia. Hands down this has been the best orientation on any job. During my orientation, there arose an emergent situation, being a new nurse, I was unsure of where things were. Any questions were directed to Shawankia and she readily answered and directed the staff where to go. She is a resource in any and all situations. At the same time, she remained humble and allowed the RNs to take control of the situation. With her knowledge, Shawankia could easily take control or belittle the RNs for not knowing certain things but she did not. Shawankia has a cheerful and uplifting personality at all times. She is patient and kind to patients and staff. She is knowledgeable in every area of the clinic. In my eyes, Shawankia goes above and beyond on a daily basis and is the epitome of a nurse.
