My son was traveling through KY to go back to college, he unexpectedly encountered severe winter weather. He was going to pull off to find a place to stay before he was able to an 18-wheeler skid into his car. We live seven hours away and were unable to get to him due to the impassable roads. My husband spoke with Shawn Johnson, he was very nice and assured us that they would not put him out in the cold and would make sure he had something to eat. We were so grateful and relieved. They found a quiet room where he could sleep, gave him warm blankets, and fed him meals until he was able to get picked up the next afternoon. The vivid memories of this traumatic incident will fade in time, but the overwhelming feeling of gratitude will remain in our hearts.
