Shawna Gordon, LPN

Shawna despite being a newer employee has gone above and beyond to assist in my father’s care. She is diligent in turning and repositioning him to facilitate comfort for him. She always follows through with medicating him every hour with pain and anxiety medications. Always one step ahead with her thorough assessments and physician contact to assess for further interventions to meet comfort needs. There are not enough words for Shawna or any of her nursing counterparts. I have been a nurse for 32 years and of course, scrutinize/criticize everyone in the healthcare realm as I feel I am justified in doing so. Shawna and all of her nursing counterparts are some of the finest nurses I have encountered in my 32 years. We are very much appreciative of Shawna and the other nurses on the hospice unit. Thank you! VA Medical Center for employing these phenomenal nurses!
