Shawna is such a wonderful nurse.
Our father came in through the ER on a Saturday night. He was in the critical care unit for five days. He was very sick. On Thursday the following week, he was moved down to the “stepdown” floor.
My 86-year-old mother and I were very scared. Shawna played a significant role in helping ease our fears. She explained procedures, medications, and issues in ways we could understand many times. She was patient and loving to our entire family. She earned our trust immediately.
Shawna was extremely empathetic to Dad. She asked us several times, “What can I do for any of you?” Of course, there were many other nurses who were excellent, but Shawna stood out to our family the most.
