I was blessed to have been transferred to the 4th floor. I was very ill. My nurse was the most patient, consistently kind, and attentive.
One thing she did EVERY time I received my meds, that no other nurses in 6 days /nights did, she told me what each pill was prescribed for and its name- slowly, so I would be sure to understand. I genuinely appreciated that especially since all my meds had new changes and I live alone and wasn't clear-headed yet.
On the 2nd time she cared for me, she noticed that I wasn't ordering meals. She made some appropriate recommendations and offered to order my next meals after I'd considered my choices. To me, all above the expectations I had of very busy nurses. She remained prompt, pleasant and smiled. It's amazing to me how much better one can feel based on such simple but powerful actions. She was proficient and professional. It was such a blessing to have her as my nurse.
