Shawna Peterson 2024, BSN, RN

Shawna took care of my mother-in-law while she was a patient on the unit. While her care of D was outstanding, it was her care and attention to my father-in-law that I want to acknowledge. Shawna took the time to really listen to his concerns and keep him engaged with D's care when she could. She educated him when necessary but did it with such grace and patience! My favorite moment was when Shawna brought him a coffee because she heard him tell D he didn't like the one he got. She took her own time to show my father-in-law he was heard and cared for. It really improved his impression of St. John as a whole and created a relationship of trust that is so important! Thank you, Shawna!
