Shawna cared for my father upon returning to his room from PACU, following repair of his femur fracture. He experienced disorientation in the PACU requiring medication to settle him. He had calmed some when I saw him in his room, although I knew he was definitely still confused and I was concerned about his safety and if I should stay with him that night.
The morning of surgery, we were unsure what time the surgery would actually occur, then we were notified it was scheduled for that afternoon. The doctor's previous procedures continued past that time and dad's surgery lasted three hours, so it was a long day of waiting and I was exhausted.
Shawna provided me trust and confidence that he would be taken care of as he became more oriented throughout the night. Because of Shawna, I was able to go home and rest without worry as I needed to return to work the next day. Thank you, Shawna, for not only taking care of my father but me as well!

I cannot thank you both so much for the care you have shown me!!! I know it's your job but you two went above and beyond and beyond what I ever expected to make me feel comfortable. You both deserve a medal or something!!! I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys are amazing!!! As is all the staff, but you two made a real impact on me.
