I would like to nominate Shawna Storm, from Lakeview College of Nursing, as a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award for outstanding faculty.  Professor Storm is one of the smartest and kindest individuals I know. Not only has she expanded my knowledge of nursing, but she has also been supportive of me with my personal struggles showing just how much she truly cares about her students both academically and personally. She has been through a lot and understands the struggles I have gone through and continue to go through today. She makes me want to be the best nurse I can be when I finish school and inspires me to believe in myself because most days I do not. I am so thankful to know her and am so lucky to be able to say that she was my professor. I cannot emphasize enough all that she does for Lakeview and her students. She truly is a superwoman. I can honestly say that she is one of the best instructors I have had in my entire school career. If anyone deserves to be nominated it's this strong and caring individual. She has been through more than most people can handle and remains strong on her feet and caring about her students. I can tell by just the way she teaches and interacts with her students that she is one heck of a nurse and I really hope to be like her one day.
